Taking down of the Tramp

Today I along with Shelby Lewis, Kelli Robinson, Tina Murdock, Amy Westcott and her kids retired the trampoline from its awesome summer at sugarloaf. We hiked up and had lunch at the top and played on the tramp for a while, carved some more names into the wall and then packed the tramp out. Thank you for your help and for the awesome YW leader you are Tina! She has been a great leader and I have learned so much from her the past couple of months. To be honest I didn't know what to think when our new presidency was put in for young womens. I kinda doubted the first couple of weeks that young womens wouldn't be what I looked forward to every week, but that quickly changed and Tina has made it the place I want to be! We've had some good talks about life, played our hearts out, made tons of memories, and have helped each other build stronger testimonies. I am thankful to have had the chance to meet this awesome girl (we're all young forever!) and for the things she has taught me! Hope we keep in touch over the years. Thanks again for all you have done! love ya :)

?Flour Anyone?

For mutual this week it was a combined activity with all of the young women and men. We went to the Robinson's corrals east of town and made a mess of ourselves! For a previous activity the young women collected and bought tons of nylons, cut them into sections, filled them with flour, and made 'bombs' for the big flour war. All-in-all there were 50 lbs of flour used in bombs!! We went to the Robinsons corrals east of town and started

off by playing a couple rounds of capture the flag. During

the game I was able to get Brother Goodwine really good

down the back and face.

...Sarah Walker, Loren Randall, and Easton Bowring all took a few good shots!

The games lasted for a while, but it just turned into a free-for-all and we started ripping the nylons apart for access to larger amounts of flour. By the end of the night everybody was completely covered in flour from head to toe!...And yes to Cody and Shane, Loren and I rocked you guys!

I'm deffinately going to miss being in Young Womens! It was really fun to end my last mutual on an intense and exciting one with everybody. I have so many memories from mutual and I'm so glad that I became involved and participated in the activities. A HUGE thanks to all of my leaders who made it such a fun and welcoming place to be! I love all of you!...And to Kelli and Loren, I've had such a blast with you guys!!! You're both awesome!

24th of July Celebration

*Top 5 Things of My Celebration Weekend*

#5. Although our celebration in Monticello may be small compared to other towns I love it! There is no doubt that 1/2 of our parade is just tractors, and the other half consists of country singers, baseball teams, and horses. It may be weird to everyone else but to us 'hicks' it's normal.

#4. My dad is always willing to help coach our teams for baseball and softball, but we were able to see his playing skills and watch him enjoy playing the game. I would have to say he is someone that can do what he preaches and is still a great athlete...(maybe a little slower around the bases since his high school days though.) :) Love you dad!

#3. I was able to see my cousins and we had a cookout on the mountain together! It was fun to hike to the top of big rocks, climb on fallen trees, roast smores, and to leave with mountain dirt on our faces and our clothes smelling like fire smoke... and it is always good to have someone like Grandpa Fullmer there to keep you laughing with his rusted over dutchovens, cherries, and his sense of humor.

#2. My brother Easton has worked really hard the past couple of weeks to prepare himself to run in the 5K. He woke up early each morning and ran with my mom around town to build his endurance for the race. Not every morning was he excited to exercise and run, but I think it paid off for the awesome race he ran!

It was fun to see my mom and Easton as they ran for the finish line. Easton sprinted it out the last stretch and finished before a lot of other runners!

#1. I was in the boxing matches against Rylee Lyman. She asked me at the games if I would box her and my friends convinced me to do it. Berlin and Bryanna made a sign for me and cheered me on as I tried my best to somewhat 'box'. It was actually really fun but I was pretty nervous the whole time!

The best part about the fight was that I got a free T-shirt and a dinner to the patio for winning!

**Also on the 24th after the fireworks I went on a mid-night ride with my parents, Mark and Rarni Shultz, and Dallen Proctor. It was so much fun! We went on the Wagon Wheel trail and then onto the Camp Jackson trail. Luckily we didn't get rained on and had a great time!

R.A.I.N.Y. D.A.Y.S

Who says that rainy days are bad? Maybe its the fact that in Monticello it doesn't rain very often or that teenagers are crazy, but we had fun playing in the rain! Where else but a small town can you run down the middle of main street without shoes, play in the gutters, and dance in the rain while cars pass you by?

We found a mud hole by the fire station and obviously had a little fun with that. I've learned over the years to not let 'rainy days' ruin my day, but only make them better!

Slow Pitch Softball

This year I have had a ton of fun playin on the Lisbon Valley softball team! We played in the all-nighters in Blanding on the 4th of July and are in the city league for Monticello. Although slow pitch isn't quite as exciting as fast pitch, we make memories and laugh a lot!...And I have to say we have the coolest jersies of them all. They even have our names printed on the back.

I told my friends that I wanted to take pictures to put on my blog and they thought I was a nerd for having one. For the rest of the night they called me 'blogger' ;)

On our team we have Austin Wilcox, Josh Shakespeare, Doug and Brittney Garner, Harvey, Erica, and Ryan Jelly, Berlin Eldredge, Stevee Wilcox, Bryanna Kershaw, Janessa Bowring.

7 Peaks/Stampede

The Stampede is a celebration time for Nephi with parades, festivities, and a 3-day rodeo. On Friday Cade was in the parade with his baseball team so Payton and I went and watched him along with Jami Wright and her kids (Bailey, Bryer, Bridger, and Briggs) Still to this day I think Bridger is going to be a great future husband because he says we are going to get married :)

That night Payton, Cade and I all went to the carnival and rodeo. We bought wristbands for the rides and spent hours riding them. It was especially fun to go on the rides after the rodeo when it was dark and the whole park was lit up!


We all had a blast!


*7 Peaks*

On Saturday Dallen Proctor took Payton, Cade, and I all to 7 peaks for the day. It was tons of fun to see some sunshine and be able to cool off in the water! We played in the wave pool, lazy river, and slides all day and laughed a lot. Although the rules are to stay in your tube, facing forward at all times, Dallen and I tried to switch places and lost our tube in the middle of the slide. Luckily it was a covered slide and we were able to get back on before we got caught or reached the bottom:)

Later that night Dallen took me to the rodeo with his family.

It was awesome when the flag was brought into the arena

with a parachute and then they sang the national anthem.

It was cool that there were a lot of local people who

participated and that it was a qualifying rodeo for the

nationals. The #3 bull in the world was there as well

as many pro riders which made itfun to watch. They

also had mexican bull fighting and motorcycle riders

inbetween everything else to entertain us. I had a great time!
