Monticello Reception

The reception in Monticello was the day after our wedding. It was held in the North Chapel by the Temple and as you can see, the decorations were amazing! While planning this reception we ran into a number of hoops we had to jump through and luckily my mom (as well as her friends) were creative in coming up with solutions. Everything that was used to decorate was either made or donated/borrowed from people in the community. What great support we have here!

The doors that were used for the line background came from old homes and shops from Monticello and Blanding. The solid blue door is special to me because it came from my Great-Grandpa Fullmer's house that he grew up in on the farm. Many times I have visited that old home with my Grandpa Dave Fullmer, and there he told me stories about his Dad and their farm. Something else that was a little unique is the picture display. They painted metal scaffolding and used it to hang the pictures from. I thought it turned out cute!

We used the same center pieces that Christine made for the Nephi open house and they went along great with everything else!

These three white dresses are very special to me and have great importance in the events that took place when I wore them. The dress on the right was worn when I was blessed and given a name for the records of the LDS church as a baby by my Grandpa Fullmer. The middle dress was for the sealing of my family for all time and eternity in the Manti Temple on March 5,1993. What a sweet day that was for my family and I. The last dress on the left is my baptism dress. I was baptized and became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on May 20, 2000. And the empty hanger is for the dress that I am wearing... my wedding dress!

We had so much support from family and friends!! Dallen and I are excited to start off our new home with these new and thoughtful gifts. We greatly appreciate the cards, donations, registrations, and everything!

The line of friends never stopped. We had a constant line of people all night to congratulate us and to show us their love and support. How blessed I am to have grown up in such a great place with loving and caring people. They were the ones who helped me get to where I am today, and I am thankful for their examples! I feel very loved!

THANK YOU Vanessa and Anna for your hours of help with the reception and wedding! They were kept busy in the kitchen preparing plates with strawberry crepes, and nut cups for all those who came. Both of them served in the Young Women as my leaders and I learned so much from them! They will always be special people in my life.

I absolutely love this girl. Jenna Bailey is such a great friend to me and our friendship has grown closer throughout Elementary and High school as we grew up together. We graduated together in the class of 2010 and I consider her one of my greatest friends. She was so kind to sit at the book, and with the help of her mom, greeted everyone as they came in. Thank you for helping out Jenna!

It was great to see everyone enjoying themselves at the tables as they visited with old friends and ate refreshments. I also wanted to thank those who traveled the many long miles to Monticello for our support! We realize that it is not always an easy thing to do....

I give my heart out to this family for accepting me and for the unconditional love they give. I can't help but smile each time I see their contagious smiles, and feel a warming comfort knowing that they love me for who I am. They have raised their boy into a FABULOUS husband and man whom I love with all I have. It was a humbling to see their tender moments with Dallen as they congratulated and gave hugs.

...And I owe it to my family for helping me get to this day. To my mom for the hours and hours she spent planning, preparing, making, and setting up the reception here tonight, and for raising me the way she has. We have such a great relationship and I hope to be as good of a mother as she has been for me!
My dad has always been by my side throughout every step in life. We grew up together and have been best buddies since day one! We have learned to support each other and have spent many hard working hours on the ranch together. Thank you for the many great memories we have made and for continuing to be a role model in my life.
My siblings are my best friends and I want them to know that I would do anything for them. They are individually very unique and have each taught me valuable things about life. I love you Hunter, Easton, and Davi! Thanks for standing in my line :)

It came time to toss the flowers :) All the girls lined up behind me and the lucky girl who caught the bouquet was... DAVI!

....Let's hope she's not the next one married out of that crowd, but when she does get married it will be a great and happy day!

The garter was next and little did I know, there was more to it than that.

I wasn't too sure what to think at first...I was expecting a little white garter but when Dallen came out from under my dress he pulled out a HUGE pair of red lacy grandma underwear! It was quite comical and I think everyone there got a good laugh from it.

We had to do some clarifying to Dallen so he knew what a "real" garter was. He did the trowing and the lucky catcher was little McKay Burtenshaw! I think he would make a handsome groom!

Our cake was absolutely beautiful! Thank you Phill!

Cutting the cake!

I think we got each other pretty good and both had super fun cutting and feeding each other! ...Notice the "Reflect Eternity" mirror that was right behind us in all our pictures. haha

Grandpa Fullmer's truck was awesome to have at the front entry! Thank you for letting us use it! We love you

And now the story of OUR lives together begins. Dallen and I have a lot of great plans and will be making our first home in Lehi, Ut. THANK YOU DALLEN for being the best friend I could ever ask for! Our wedding day was a special, special one just like we wanted and I owe it all to you :) I have never felt so happy and been so blessed in my life, and I know WE can keep it that way if we continue to live righteously and work TOGETHER!
I LOVE YOU!
Love,
Your One and Only,
Janessa Kaye PROCTOR! :)
