Engagement Pictures!

Dallen and I had our engagement pictures taken by my uncle, Taylor Black, and by Jami Wright (the one who set us up on a blind date). I am really happy with how they all turned out and am super excited to use them for our announcements! Here are just a few of the pics and snap shots that were taken by both photographers.... :)

Thank you so much for you time and efforts Taylor and Jami!! We love what you have done for us and are so excited for June 16th!!! Thanks for being a part in our journey and for all of your loving support! We love you!

BYU Basketball

My Grandpa and Grandma Bowring are big fans of BYU since that is the place where they met, and wanted to take all of the grandkids to a basketball game and to watch Jimmer Fredette play. Jimmer is a big deal around here and people expect him to move into the NBA before too long. He plays point guard for BYU and on average scores about 26-30 points per game. He's a fun player to watch.

Although we were in the nose bleed section, it was fun to be there at the game. The cougars didn't play their best game tonight and lost by about 20 points. We were a little disappointed but I'm glad we were able to go!

Marci, Taylor and kids, Rob and kids, Amber, Daniel and Kids, and my family all went with Grandpa and Grandma. It was fun to see everyone and to spend some time together! Davi, Cade, and Braxton had a great time cheering for the cougars.

Last Weekend With Briar

It is crazy to think that the time has come for Briar to leave to Argentina to go on his mission for two years! Dallen and I wanted to spend some time with him before he left so we decided to take him to the ski resort for night skiing. It was great to get away for a while and to have these few hours to spend just with Briar.

Dallen and Briar on the lift...

We found a run at the top named Wedding Ring so Dallen and I took some pictures by it :) Briar is a great kid and we wish him the very best of luck as he leaves to serve the Lord. We are already looking forward to the day that he gets home to make more memories with us, but in the mean time we are excited to hear of his teachings and experiences. WE LOVE YOU BRIAR!!

Snowboarding UVU

This year I was able to sign up for a snowboarding class at UVU and received a credit hour for doing so! i couldn't think of a better deal than that...getting credit to go play in the snow for a couple hours once a week! I have had a lot of fun playing on the slopes and meeting new people who like to do the same. For our last day we decided to go retro and we wore old full piece snow suits. Megan Fitzpatrick and I were the only ones who did the snow suits, but a couple of people wore wigs and crazy hats to play along.
This is Megan and I with our awesome suits! Although we look funny in them, we stayed a lot warmer than we did in weeks past! It was fun to go a little crazy and to bring out a little of the weird side in us.

I am going to miss driving up the mountain to board on Wednesday afternoons now, but hope that I can come on the weekends to finish out the snow season!

*Spencer & Kaitlin*

CONTRATULATIONS!

Beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful!

It's Feb. 17th, Spencer and Kaitlin were married in the Salt Lake Temple! It was really exciting going to their wedding, knowing that Kait and Spence would soon be my siblings as well. I look up to them a lot and am really happy that they got married in the temple. Kaitlin and Spencer dated for 2 years before Spencer went on his mission to Ireland, and then returned home to his waiting Kait this past fall. They both were so happy at the temple and nothing but smiles :)

What a great family that came together for this important event. There was a lot of support at the temple from friends and family members. The weather was a little chilly so we all had to scoot in close to one another but it made for a good time.

I sure love these boys... Eddie, Joe, Casey, Briar, the groom Spencer, Grandpa Ray, and my Dallen!

It was fun to see Briar and Dallen give all their attention to the groom. They are such a close family and it showed that today meant a lot to them as well. Handsome young men they are! It will be fun when we can get another picture like this when Briar comes home from his mission in Argentina. Briar gives his farewell this Sunday and leaves in about 2 weeks. We're all going to miss having him around!

The reception that night in Ogden was great! Kait spent a lot of time helping with the decorations and it looked beautiful. Dallen and I helped with the refreshments as people came to congratulate. Cutting the cake was fun for all to watch...

The bouquet and garter were thrown after they cut the cake. I caught the flowers and little Porter caught the garter. He was pretty excited he had ''won'' something and later that night danced with Chloe with it on his head

Before Briar left we wanted to do something fun, so we went swimming with the family.

Maclee, Chloe, and Parli all had a great time!

Porter, Casey, Briar, and Calin (his girlfriend)

I am so happy to have met this family and to know that the day will come when I am a Proctor too! I am very excited to become sisters with Janice, Candis, and now Kait! As well as gain four more brothers: Joe, Casey, Briar, and Spencer. Thank you for being the people you are! Dallen and I are so happy for Spencer and Kaitlin. We love you very much and wish you the best with everything you encounter! You two make a great couple!

Sweet Heart Dinner

Over the past couple of months I have felt that Dallen has done so many little surprises and good deeds for me. He treats me like a queen and likes to spoil me quite often so I wanted to do something fun for him in return and this is what i came up with... a candle lit Valentines dinner!

It was quite the stretch for me to make a meal that I had to start preparing the day before, but everything worked out great! I cooked a roast in the crock pot overnight and then made home-made chimichanga's for our dinner. Dallen came up this morning to go to church with me and then I snuck home during relief society to decorate and to get everything ready. I got back to church in time to go to Sacrament meeting with him and then we came home to my apartment afterward. Dallen asked me to grab something out of the trunk for him and when I went back there he had a dozen roses for me for valentines day! They were beautiful!!

I had Dallen go in my room and not come out until I had the dinner table set and lit. I had a playlist of music that I put on and when it was all ready I let him come out and we ate together. I was really happy to see that Dallen really enjoyed what I had done for him. It wasn't much at all but it allowed me to spend time with him and that's all I wanted.

I wasn't ever able to get a good picture of what my ring looked like when Dallen proposed, so I took a couple with the roses that he gave me. I absolutely LOVE the ring that he gave me! There isn't any other one like it in the world and I love that about it. It has been so fun being engaged over the past couple of weeks and I look forward to continuing our dating as we have in the past! I LOVE YOU DALLEN!!! HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

Sisters weekend

This weekend was high school state wrestling and so my family came up to watch Hunter and the Monticello Buckaroos compete. I was lucky enough to have Davi come over to my apartment for a sleep over and spend some "sister time" together! Being that Valentines Day is in just a couple of days, we made valentine cookies, frosted them, and decorated them with sprinkles. Davi made a smiley face out of the cookies and the rest of them we made hearts. It was a lot of fun being able to spend time with her and to have my bed buddie back again to sleep with!
